Preparing for The Open
Treasured for more than a hundred years, Turnberry Resort, Scotland re-opens in July to host the 138th Open Championship. Reservations now being taken for stays after the 20th of July 2009.
Our beautifully renovated ocean view rooms capture the spirit of Turnberry. White shutters and subtle colours give each room a soft, calming air in perfect keeping with the majestic ocean setting. Did You Know?
Turnberry Lighthouse marks a dangerous part of the Ayrshire coast, off which lies Bristo Rock which was responsible for many wrecks. It is situated close to the 9th hole of Turnberry Golf Courses in what was once the moat of Turnberry Castle, which disputes with Lochmaben the honour of being the birthplace of Robert Bruce (1274 -1329). |
